Had to leave my car with the mechanic this morning. I enjoyed a lovely stroll around mist covered Newcastle, stopped for a cup of tea and a scone before taking the bus home along a mist shrouded Down Coast. Beautiful.
Took a long walk with the dog today. On my way over to pick up my weekly magazines I talked with a middle aged man picking blackberries to make jam for his elderly mother. Saw the ducks sunbathing. I watched workmen sweat to replace the blades on the water mill that runs the cornmill at Annalong. I really can’t wait to see it working again. I also watched the fishermen get ready to go out for the day. A lovely walk in the sun that had an adventure at every stage. You simply can’t beat it.
